Saif_ul_Malook_LakeWe traverse almost all of the western Himalaya and Hindukush Ranges driving and walking along the some splendid areas of theKarakorum. We also have magnificent views of the naked mountain “Nanga Parbat8126m” Rakaposhi (7788m), Diran (7327m) and trichmir (7706m), the highest of the Hindukush. This is combination of different adventures through the legendary valleys of Hunza and the black Kalash. The trip is unforgettable for its beauty and the people with rich cultural background. From Gilgit we drive upstream the Ghizar River and over the Shandur Pass(3720m) into Chitral Valley. From Chitral we jeep to south to the Kalash Valley of Birir, Bumburat and Rumbur. This is the home of Kafir-Kalash, a primitive pagan tribe, whose ancestry is enveloped in the mystery through often mentioned as, descendants of Alexander the great.

ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival at Islamabad international airport, transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02: A pleasant drive to Shogran in beautiful Kaghan Valley at 2400m.
Day 03: To Naran the centre of Kaghan Valey and superb place for hikes and fishing.
Day 04: Day free for fishing and visit to the legendary lake Saiful Maluk at 3212m.
Day 05: A spectacular ascend on jeeps to Babusar Pass(4173m) provides views of whole Kaghan Panorama. Drive steep down hill for 50kms to Chilas.
Day 06: Across KKH and Indus River through Astore gorge to beautiful Rama at (3480m.
Day 07: Descend to Astor and continue to Chilum at the foot of Deosai Plateau.
Day 08: Today’s drive will be a life-time memory of driving through a treeless wilderness at 4000m, knee deep in summer grass with beautiful wild flowers, whistling marmots and grazing yaks. Descend down through narrow Satpara gorge to the deep blue Satpara Lake.
Day 09: Day free for local visit or walking on sand dunes of Skardu and local bazaars.
Day 10: Full day excursion to Talish Village in Hushe Vallay to view Amazing Masherbrum Peak.
Day 11: An adventurous 10-11 hours drive to Hunza via Gilgit with magnificent panorama of the mighty Indus River, squeezed between high cliffs of the Haramosh and Rakaposhi ranges fighting its way through deep gorges.
Day 12: Free to explore about legendary Hunzakuts (the people of Hunza) known for their longevity and t visit Alit & Baltit Forts.
Day 13: Excursion to historical Khunjerab Passat 4733m, border between Pakistan & China with en route stop at Gulkin Glacier, Passu Glacier and Khunjerab National Park.
Day 14: Drive back to Gilgit en route visiting hopar village to walk on hopar glacier.
Day 15: On the footsteps of the Marcopolo to Punial Valley than to spectacular drive to the Phandar Lake, full of golden trout. A paradise for anglers.
Day 16: Day free for fishing, walking & hiking around Phndar Village.
Day 17: Ascent to Shandur Passat 3724m. The highest polo field in the world with beautiful mountains panoramas. Continue drive to Mastuj once the capital of little “BolorKingdom”.
Day 18: Journey to Chitral, a central town and staring point of the side valleys.
Day 19: Drive to Kafir-Kalash, visit three villages, Birir, Rumbur & Bamburat.
Day 20: Drive to Islamabad
Day 21: Morning visit is Taxila ruins, afternoon city tour of Islamabad & Rawalpindi and rest of time is free for shopping.
Day 22: Transfer to Islamabad airport for fly back.
